Remote Team Building

Remote Team Building

A culture that went deeper than our computer screens

The challenge: Our team was spread across the U.S. and Romania. With a global team and remote-first mindset, how could we encourage employees to be their best?

The solution: I led intentional team-building activities to encourage a collaborative culture that made people feel seen, appreciated, and valued.

Pumpkinheads Contest

The team was performing but feeling disconnected. We wanted to insert some joy back into our Slack channel by creating a “pumpkinheads” decorating competition for all our creatives. Everyone across the Experience Group got a chance to vote on the winner.

Music League

Creative people need more than motivation—they need inspiration, too. We created a two-month Music League challenge to encourage the team to connect and share the songs they love.

#smx-water-cooler

Before the team doubled in size, we had a group text full of family pictures, jokes, and social conversation. When we outgrew that old thread, we began bridging the gap between the old and new teammates by encouraging them to share jokes, photos, and sweet moments around a virtual Slack “water cooler”.

“I absolutely love the team that you’ve built.”
